- Random icontest challenge: Challenge 98: Fairytale Horror Story @ iimpossibletask [ Looking at me using blending ya'all. I dont recognize myself at all. Who am I?]
- Random praise: "Love the text and how the colour of [a part of the text] really matches the icon" [ I kind of worked backwords with this icon. I looked for a cap that would specifically allow me to match text and a part of the icon and went from there. Funnily enough tho, I really like this icon and think it turned out quite well.]

vapor) [This cap took me so many tries to get it right. Intially, I just wanted to do a close crop but it felt so lacking. On the 7th or 8th attempt to work with it, I suddenly decided to use some blocking and bam, it just all came together. I do like the icon even tho I kind of feel it looks stylistically dated and evokes a very 2000s icon feel. Idk why I feel that way, I just do.] - Random song: Steam Powered Giraffe - Love World of Love (YouTube | Spotify | Lyrics) [ I basically took the lyrics to figure out which OTP of mine they matched too and Jeff/Annie was what immediately came to mind.]
- Random movie poster: Hey Babu Riba (1987) [ I basically utilized's the poster's melancholy retro sadness vibe as inspiration for the icon.]
- Random quote: "The hardest battle you are ever going to have to fight is the battle to be just you." - Leo Buscaglia [ I think Olive from Pushing Daisies exmplifies this quote most for me. She's lonely, a little weird, andloving Ned from a distance and also knows that she has no chance with him. Yet, at the same time, Olive isnt sad about who she is. She wears her heart on her sleeve and is happy to do so. And I find that really admirable about her.]
- Random textures: pandavirus, deny1984 [ I was really despairing for this prompt because I just couldnt figure how to use these textures. And then I just began recylings thru gradient maps and layer modes and oh happy day this turned into something visually interesting for me.]
- Random remake: this icon [ Idk why I keep using this screencap ya'll its such a pain to work with and honestly, the older icon had had me really questioning past me's stylistic choices. Girl in what universe was that green acceptable?]
- Random inspiration icon: Icon by naginis [I initially wanted to make a monotone icon with texture but it didnt work out for me so I chose to make an icon that had a close crop and focused on an emotional moment.
- Random palette: faded june [ This icon is basically a reach but yeah, I was unable to be inspired by the palette so I focused on just adding the blue to the icon. If the icon looks kind of un-finished, that is because it is. I just added it to the set tho cause I was out of time and patience.]
- Random word: comedy [ I didn't even have to think twice. For me, Community is the very definition of comedy and this icon is from one of my favourite episodes and favourite scene as well.]

Looove the text on the Chris Argent icon, it's so fun and colorful. 2 is insanely good and fits the challenge perfectly, love the animation that brings in two different colorings, and both have this creepy fairytale vibe, and I absolutely adore the blending/texture work, I just can't , everything is perfect in this icon *__*
I love your process for 3 and I agree that it works well, gorgeous texture use and the text, the font combo is great!
5 has awesome coloring and composition, and omg that is deeeefinitely a great take on the extra lovey-dovey song you got :D
Love the "retro sadness" interpretation in 6, the crop and coloring are gorgeous and I love the textured matte look.
Ooh you got difficult textures indeed but DAMN that icon is amazing! Lovelovelove the extreme coloring and textureheaviness and then the text adds a really fun pop to it too.
10 is another example of your awesomely daring texture use. It's a great take on the inspiration icon cause it's another textured closecrop, but has a completely different look to it. I also love the coloring in 12 and the fun use of colorful text on 13!

I very much enjoyed your commentary on these, and think you did a great job with all of them. I love how his expression in 10 is so close to the inspo icon's. Your community icons are awesome - I love the mood in the comedy one especially. :D

I agree that the Ariana Grande icon has something classical, I love that kind of blocking. All the grungy icons are great, too, especially 3, 11, and 13. (Yes, I like 11. It looks very artsy.) I also really like the text work in 1, so boldly in his face.

For icon 5 - I took three caps, coloured them and then arrange them on a 500 x 500 canvas and moved things around to my liking before resizing.
For icon 13, I dont remember the font -- but I think Arial bold is pretty similar.
